Present: Selectmen Angley, Ward, Hewins, Chairman Casey, Town Administrator LaFond and A.T.A. Bouchard.
The Chairman convened the meeting at 11:35 A.M.
LaFond discussed with Board Members FY09 Budget Line Item Transfers that needed to be voted on. Paul VonBurg, Elder Affairs Director will be retiring and the COA Salary Line Item does not have sufficient funds to compensate VonBurg for his accrued benefit time. Funds also need to be transferred to the COA’s expense line item to pay bills. He recommends the funds come from Data Processing which is allowed under state laws - 3% of a budget or up to $5,000. Discussion followed.
Motion by Ward, second by Hewins to transfer $3,885 from Data Processing to the COA Salary Account. Vote unanimous. .
Motion by Ward, second by Hewins to transfer $1,115 from Data Processing to the COA Expense Account. Vote unanimous. Hewins requested that a copy of the MGL authorizing the Board to make transfers be attached to the minutes.
Motion by Ward, second by Hewins to adjourn at 12 Noon. Vote unanimous.
